Jacqueline Macak's Journal /
Week 8 Mid-Term

Throughout this course we have looked at different way to use eportfolios and learn from each other. We have learned to journal, set up our pages, and interact with each other. Throughout the last 8 weeks I have definitely seen what I like and dislike about eportfolios.

Journaling: So far in this course my journal entries have been acceptable. Going over the rubric I have addressed the purpose of each journal entry. I could use more quotes in them though. Throughout the journals I did display what I learned and gained new knowledge of eportfolio learning. Finally, I show emotion and feelings about what I am learning. There is room for improvement though....always!

Eportfolio page: First, I am not sure what artifacts are considered to be so I am down to proficient automatically. I have multimedia links and captions with my page items. There are no grammar issues adn I have colors on my page as well. It attracts the eye of the reader and pulls them in to see what is on the page. More information and educational links will be added but as far as now, my page in my opinion is at least proficient.

Community Engagement: Looking over the rubric for community engagement I do not really know how to grade myself. All of the grades involve acknowleding peer's post, strengths, and offering support. I do not have many peers to talk to in this class. What I have done is post information and thoughts of my own. My opinions are clear but may not always connect with the topic at hand. I like to share random thoughts and knowledge with my friends to strike some conversation. Unfortunately, with this course I have not seemed to meet anyone but my professor. Discssion is always a goal of mine and I try to do the best I can with what I have.

When it comes to learning I find my strongest learning would be reflecting and journaling. I love to journal and share my thoughts and what I have learned about a certain topic. I may see things differently from someone else so journaling lets my thoughts be read and maybe even commented on. I learn well reflecting because I am looking back at what we just read or watching or even did so I am analyzing the experience as a whole and developing thoughts off of that. I am not really sure what I am weak at..maybe with this course discovering people to talk to and authentic learning. I could try to add more friends that I see have some same interests as me to help me with further studies I may endour. That is definitely a start to strengthen that type of learning. I would love to learn more about my weaknesses as the second half of the semester commenses.

Thanks Susan! I really like this course! I am glad I took it for my last semester of school. It was a nice interesting class and fun to learn about which is a plus for my last semester.
