PLA Definition
PLA stands for Prior Learning Assessment, a process that many colleges offer as a means of getting credit for college-level knowledge you've learned on your own through work or self-study.
Empire State College offers multiple ways of authenticating this knowledge - through ESC's own process, through standardized college-level tests, through verification of training programs that have been evaluated for college credit. Read more about PLA on the college's web pages.
